"We've scoured the globe bringing together thematic, visually cohesive collections that set a new standard for 3D materials," comments Chad Ashley, Creative Director at Greyscalegorilla and mastermind behind Tactile. Using their new Tactile Capture Process, Greyscalegorilla has gone deeper into the details to offer fidelity rarely seen in the world of 3D design. We've been blown away by how real these materials look in our renders, and we can't wait for the Greyscalegorilla community to use them in their work." "Tactile materials look so real, you can practically feel them. We're setting a new bar for material quality that 3D artists won't even realize they've been missing till they see it," comments Nick Campbell, Greyscalegorilla founder, and CEO. "While Greyscalegorilla has always been creating best-in-class 3D materials and assets, Tactile is a major step forward in realism and detail. See the beauty of Greyscalegorilla Tactile in action. Tactile will allow 3D designers, architectural visualization artists, product and interior design artists, and motion graphic designers of all kinds to create incredibly realistic 3D renders in Cinema 4D using Redshift, Octane, and Arnold. Launching with five stunning collections – Clay Fine, Clay Rough, Clay Sculpting, Clay Doh, and Unfinished Wood – digital artists have more than 210 next-generation materials to work with right out of the gate.
Greyscalegorilla, the leader in providing professional training and tools to help motion designers and 3D artists, has just announced Tactile, a growing library of the most beautiful and realistic 3D materials for Cinema 4D, and it's available now for all Greyscalegorilla Plus subscribers. In recent years he has been an active beta tester for companies like Maxon and Solidangle.Greyscalegorilla sets a new industry standard with their new Tactile Library, the most realistic 3D materials ever created for Cinema 4D, launching today with five collections made up of over 200 clay and unfinished wood materials.
He has built dozens of proprietary plugins and pipeline tools for different Companies for both 3D and 2D applications. Next to CGI his background involved several years of programming. For brands like Philips, Pioneer, MTV, Eneco, Schiphol Airport, Samsung and Toyota. He has worked on many national and international campaigns. Besides doing CGI, Da Costa is also responsible for CGI related R&D. Lukkien is a multimedia company with a little over 200 employees. Da Costa is currently working as a CGI artist and TD at Lukkien. And at the end of this course you should feel comfortable taking on any project with Cinema 4D and the Arnold render engine. We will also shortly discuss some compositing aspects of C4DtoA.
We will discuss ways in which we can reduce rendertimes and how to adopt an efficient workflow with Arnold. We will look at several technical and creative aspects of shading, lighting and rendering with Arnold. This course will demonstrate all the fundamentals about working with the Arnold Render Engine inside C4D. Da Costa will get you up and running with Arnold for Cinema 4D.
